We are like, a year late to the bandwagon or something, but in today’s episode we discuss the 2009 or was it 2010? Nobody really knows. But we discuss Redline, which is basically Jesus for anime.

Alone AGain Christmas: Gundam 0080

December 24th, 2011 § Leave a Comment

Instead of spending our time with our families in celebrating this Anglo-American/Pagan tradition, we have decided to record a show at what is 4 AM for Andy.

That aside, we discuss what is probably the best Gundam show ever made.

2011 in Review

December 10th, 2011 § Leave a Comment

This episode of the Anime Graruru is a little bit crazy, not only in that it is an hour long, but also in that it is an attempt to discuss the Anime of 2011. I suppose it did get a little weird throughout this recording, since it is a little bit more raw than AG normally is, but whatever.

Aside from that, Anime Graruru, or rather, Area Graruru, is five years old now. So wooot.

We talked about so much in this episode, and I suppose that there could be a lot in terms of show notes, but we’re not that into show notes…. but here is the season’s line up pics.

Winter 2010-11
Spring 2011
Summer 2011
Fall 2011
Winter 2011-12

In essentially just going through each list randomly, we both reaffirm our belief in the future, but also gain a sense of melancholic frustration in the present.

Music:
Intro – “Bowl Man” by some old Salarymen (IKZO)
Outro – “Natsu Yuzora” by some old Japanese guy who eats rice, and stays longingly at fields of wheat (Kosuke Atari)

Char’s Counterattack

Char’s Counterattack, which was meant to be the end to the Universal Century, ended up being an 80s movie with poor writing.

GunPla Builders Beginning G with special guest Gerald

November 14th, 2011 § 1 Comment

In this fine episode, we have a special guest, Gerald Rathkolb from the Anime World Order Podcast on to help us review an actually decent Gundam show… that is essentially a 40 minute commercial, GunPla Builders.

My mic is a bit scratchy throughout this episode, but everyone else should sound just fine.

This show also gave us the greatest GunPla kid of all time, Beargguy.

0083 Seriously Needed Some More Carroterization

November 7th, 2011 § 10 Comments

To kick off our Gundam month, we review the greatest OVA of all time, Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory.

The best thing about this show is the GMs. GMs were amazing to begin with, but this show just made them better.

Main Theme – Jon CJG – intro
Magic – Jacob Wheeler – outro
